The eight former “Designers of the Year” were invited to take part in the creation of the “Interieur Bistro” in the of, right in the city center of Kortrijk. They commonly decided to invest the first floor of the Broel School which is planned for demolition in order to create a warm and welcoming space with limited intervention. The idea was to create a bistro with a canteen-like spirit right in the former canteen of the school, with shared common tables and unique Belgium-style meal.

We more specifically designed the bar itself and did the general planning of the space in order to make all the different ideas work together.

A very graphic bar was specially designed for this event. Using simple stained wood constructions and a copper sheet behind the vertical wood bars in order to create a graphic effect that would vary according to the visitors' point and reflect the general atmosphere of the room.
