A simple yet expressive shape for a bookend. A contrast between weight and weightlessness, solidity and detailing, and yet general line close the classical typology of bookends.

The Emoji bookends have two different personalities since they can be placed with their longer side up to support larger books, or resting on their long sides if the books happen to be small.
Though usually used alone on each side of the books, they were designed in order to create a juxtaposition when the two opposite bookends are shown side by side in a store without any books, for instance. Small, expressive displays can then be created to surprise people and capture their attention. 

The book ends then reveals the full depth and range of their personality; thus their name, which refers to their multifaceted expressions.
